Rules

Each category has its own leaderboard. Every UTC day gets a fresh board that opens at midnight UTC and closes at the next midnight UTC. The closing board becomes permanent archive — it lives at /daily forever. Yesterday's winners stay #1 forever on that day's board, even if today's leaderboard has moved on.

Within each category, ranking is by the amount you paid for the current claim. The highest payment is #1, the next is #2, and so on down to #50 (we surface only the top 50 to keep the page honest about the competition). Two payments of equal amount are ordered by claim time — earlier claim ranks higher.

You can claim a rank for any product, tool, app, or service that you own or represent. The URL must resolve to a real product page that visitors can open and use — no parked domains, login walls, or generic landing pages. We pull the display name and tagline for your listing from the URL’s public metadata, so what visitors see on the leaderboard is whatever the page itself publishes. A listing that violates these rules can be removed without notice; see Terms of Service for the full list of prohibited listings.

There are 28 categories — pick the one that best fits your product. The full list shows on the claim form and at /categories. If your product genuinely fits two, pick the one where the current competition is lower — you'll get more visibility at a lower price.

Once Stripe confirms your payment, your listing goes live on today's board within a few seconds. Anyone can outbid you by paying more; if they do, your listing drops on the leaderboard and you can reclaim your position by visiting your listing and bidding again — there is no separate reclaim link. At midnight UTC, the day settles, and your rank on that day's board becomes permanent in the archive. Stripe sends you a payment receipt at the email you type at checkout; we do not send any emails from outbid.day.

No bots, no scraping the leaderboard, no shilling fake claims to game the click counts, no impersonating a different product to siphon its traffic. We monitor for abnormal patterns and we'll remove listings we believe are gaming the system.
